That ending just totally broke my heart I couldn't take it anymore it literally made me cry. I pray for that poor lady who's an innocent victim. Lord Yahusha (Jesus) please continue to have this companies twisted and corrupt business practices exposed. And please bring your holy justice against those responsible within Amazon for these evil acts and illegal business practices. In Yahusha's name I pray. Amen!

I work sitting down in front of computer screens all day. I've been with my employer for many years and have over 6 months of sick days accrued. Recently i've been having really bad headaches and vision issues and have been taking days off here and there but am not getting better. My doctor is telling to take more breaks which is not always possible. I know 6 months sounds crazy excessive, but anyways I've heard my employer is stingy limits planned leaves to 10 days. I don't have Short Term Disability, but do have long term disability that would start in 6 month. I have not asked for it, but can my employer terminate me while I apply for a leave of absence? If so what happens to my LTD? How many days can i expect my doctor to ask for? and will my employer continue to approve consecutive leaves before they challenge it. How much would a Short Term leave plan have helped me? and can I sue if they don't pay my days off or terminate me? Can I maintain my LTD plan through Cobra if they terminate me?

I heard a lot of people complained about Amazon at their work places. They make people work too hard , but still don't treat their employees fair at all. They make people work like slaves. Not good Amazon !

This so f—ked up .. America is in trouble, these billion $ companies are allowed to abuse people & it is seen as normal .. I can’t wait to leave the retail industry, I hate it.. In my company, we aren’t even allowed to talk about Unions , it’s literally so disheartening to want to work for a good company & have such few choices, especially here in Florida..

A technical recruiter from Amazon reached out to me yesterday for a position as a software engineer. I recently signed an offer letter for a different company so I was going to politely decline anyway, but hearing these stories about how the fulfillment center employees are treated makes me less likely to consider them in the future.

Microsoft got broken into 2 companies with less than 1/3 of employees. Congress needs to break Amazon up. For the good of the company. Nothing sold on Amazon is made in America if a real war occured with China Amazon will be the 1st one to go. So then all these mom and pop shops don't exsists where do Americans get their stuff? This is a national security flaw. And Amazon needs to be shut down. Is anybody really paying attention?

"Blood sweat & tears"? This is warehouse work … I've worked as a framing carpenter, on a concrete crew, built pole barns, built in-ground swimming pools, baled square hay, worked on dairy & chicken farms. I am having difficulty believing some of these complaints. Perhaps some of these folk were just so bad out'a physical shape to begin with?

They are being replaced by robotic ‘pickers’ which will drastically reduce need for thousands of employees period. Not just Amazon, trajectory of future work force in positions that can be done without human issues such as limited hours, breaks, salary, benefits, L&I claims, conflict , gripping about their job and are more efficient.
Customer service and call centers are where people cannot be replaced and are valued by both amazon and its customers.
They need to do a story on those positions!! Worked in one myself, now that is a locked down, secured and a part of the business Jeff Bezos would not want discussed out in the world!!

Why should the public care about these low-return performing employees? We are already providing them with medicaid, SNAP, rent controlled housing…Wow…as much as they are given, the more the audacity for them to ask for even more…Go to Cuba.

It's not like amazon is saying hey this is a fairly well paying super easy job. Do these people not realize they will be doing hard labor there? We've had a few people like this in the warehouse I work at, older and whining about basically having to do their job. If you don't want to, or just physically can't do the hard work why are you applying for the job?

Amazon compete with their sellers by going directly to the factories and the sellers can't compete with them.

This is what you get when you elect humanoids into office that worship this bezos character. You can't quit your job because politicians have this huge workforce at the border if so needed. The only effective way to kick someone like this in the nuts is to have a work stoppage and then boycott him. The politicians sure won't like it, and bezos will like it even less. The US is trying desperately to produce the worlds first trillionaire, and they won't let a couple of hundred thousand employees stand in their way.

Jobs all over are getting worse. They just want us to work, work, work. Breaks and lunches are getting shorter and more less. Everything including rent is going up faster than wages. There's definitely a trend going on here and people could easily band together to put a stop to this but they wont.

It's called a job. You badge in and you work then you get paid. Lot a whiny people here. You better stop complaining or you might get what you're wishing for. I'm sure they're working on a way to automate all of these assembly lines right now. Then you won't have a job at all.

OMG… those “fulfillment centers” are beyond monotonous and robotic and mind-numbing even on the guided tours. I work in a US Postal Service distribution facility and it’s nowhere near as soulless and mindless as those Amazon places. And don’t even get me started on the high stressed and overworked employees. I made a conscious decision to never open an Amazon Prime account, and I don’t regret it…

Why are so many of you against the UBI? Things must not be THAT bad after all. Why do all of you support capitalism the way that America practices it? WHY? Stories like this come and go and nothing changes. WHY? Why are you against the UBI? Why do you worship the wealthy? No, you will NOT be a millionaire some day. NEVER. So what are all of you going to DO about it?

The people know the greed of billionaire 1%r's like Jeff Bezos and his corporations – Amazon and Washington Post.
So what are we the hundreds of millions of people going to do about this?

I would start by support and vote for PROGRESSIVE policies championed by candidates like Bernie Sanders and Jeremy Corbyn.

    – Get money out of politics (ending this corruption is key to all other policies)
    – increase minimum wages to livable
    – progressive tax system – for wealth individuals and massive multinational corporations
    – break up monopolistic corporations – media in particular
    – support smaller/mid size businesses

Anyone who works at Amazon should get paid for having to work under extremely harsh conditions, e.i. dirt that causes health issues, favoritism, slavery type of work, and the fact that only Amazon matters, not the employees.
If they want you to work 11 hours, you are on their mandatory watch or you could leave.
Managers throw their weight around. Don't do what they want you to do, you are moved to another area, location, or fired
It's so much mess, if someone wrote a book that gives all the evidence needed, Amazon still gets away with murder. Literally! 😡😠

I got a bait and switch. They offered me a position as a WholeFoods shopper. Every time I tried to start to they would wipe my account out. I reapplied and when I did further research I found that they tried to trick me into taking a warehouse position. I keep trying for the WholeFoods position but they have me on telephone hide and seek.

Handling my injury now. Amcare was terrible, HR incompetent, and sedgwick dismissed my case without listening to my symptoms. I have also been offered a tiny sum of $5,000 to dismiss and close my healthcare and case entirely. I no longer have the job either, and no pay. I just don't understand how this can happen in America.

So strange how they have 100,000+ employees in this same kind of work and most have no complaints. It's very easy to get a job there and very easy to lose your job there. Knowing what a great employee deals with each shift (yes, we have one in the family), I can confirm there are a heap of people who get jobs at Amazon who shouldn't have a job anywhere, no work ethic, expects to get paid for doing very little, etc. There are two sides to the story people…if you haven't heard the other side, you really shouldn't comment.

I worked for amazon briefly , I can honestly say it was the worst job I've ever had and I used to have to help sanitation pick up dead animals back in the day at another job. At amazon They have several supervisors on the floor , all of them giving different orders then getting mad that your doing what another supervisor told you instead of the present supervisor. They told me I could come in anytime before my regular shift time because they could use the extra help but then when I came in they tell me I cant just show up and have to get permission and leave a notice of what time i plan to come in ahead. You're constantly timed and every second of time you waste for whatever reason literally if you sneeze and cover your nose instead of working You just wasted 2 seconds and will be asked about those 2 seconds at the end of the day. you are grilled about it at the end of the day and penalized for wasting valuable company time. I have never felt so useless and replaceable before my short time with them. I hope things improve for employees because it's really not right

Slave labor at its finest. If it weren’t for unions this would be common everywhere in the work place like it was 100 years ago. There’s a reason amazon fights so hard to keeps unions out. Because the workers need a union more then ever

There's no excuse for this. They make plenty enough money to treat their employees better, and to hire more people to be better staffed.

I feel your pain my manager said there is no place for you so I wanted you to just go to emcare that is the only place in Amazon that I feel that you are safe it is a sweatshop and it shouldn't be $15 an hour it should be more like 17 or even $18 an hour. Cuz if you ask anybody if this was a union job which Amazon should be this would never happen to her or me Amazon sucks take it from her former employee.SUCKS .!!!!!!👹

Wife and i were contacted to a Trucking company as owner ops, the haslet,tx location was by far the worst. Always long waiting just to do a drop and hook. We told the company we were leasing to no longer will we ever again haul Amazon freight. They quit doing business with Amazon year later. Haslet,tx had 52 truckloads waiting on a 4 lane highway in the left lane with no Security car behind us. We pulled out and dropped the load at a cloe by terminal. Good luck and good riddance. No freight is worth getting someone killed for. They're shameless.

Amazon treat their employees like lab rats. They go to break are lunch when an alarm dings them and return the same way. They make the employees compete against each other. If you're a little slow, they threatened their job.

That crazy control freak Jeff even spie on people in training. Been in training for five days for their fraude dept, but quit because of spying with cameras on us trainees. Besides, amazon makes it very easy to sell fake trash. No AI can see if that pair of adidas is fake or real. And they are using people to ensure AI does it a little better. Fraud Inv Agents are data input for AI. For real Jeff to me is the modern A Hitler. He doesn't give anything about his own employees. 20 billion on his account every year and even that;s to less to increase horrible places to work. Very very nasty company. If you have a little self love do not work for amazon.

Don't mean to be rude, but this middle aged woman knew she was going to be doing physical labor. She should have stopped before she injured herself.
