Hello and welcome to the Lil Commerce Video Guide! In this video I’m going to show you how you ca have responsive emails on your WooCommerce theme. First, we’ll need to overwrite the default WooCommerce email style. So, in your active theme Create a ‘woocommerce’ folder. If you don’t have one. And then, an ’emails’ folder. This will overwrite the default WooCommerce emails. For this example I’m going to use the ‘Default’ Theme. Copy the files. All right. Next step: is to add colors. In the WooCommerce ‘Settings’ section click the ‘Email’ tab. And copy/paste… the default values from the readme.txt file This will give you good base to start customizing your theme. Save. I’m using a little plugin called WooCommerce Email Tests to preview my emails. This is our current layout. I’m going to make a few changes. First, I’m going to add a logo. You need to keep your logo at a width of 158 pixels. If not, you’ll have to make a few extra changes. We’ll get to that in a little while. I’m going to paste the URL in the ‘Header Image’. Next, let’s add some custom colors. I have a few colors prepared. We’re going for… … indigo for the active color. … a more darker jumbotron background. Also, a darker background. This already looks good. Let’s update the jumbotron background iamge. I have an image already prepared. I just need to rename it to… ‘jumbotron_image.png’ Make sure it’s in PNG format. And just replace it with the version from the ‘images’ folder. So already we have a more custom look. Now let’s add a custom-width logo for branding that’s icon-based. So… I already have one set-up. Paste it here. It has a width fo 158 pixels. To edit this Open ’email-header.php’ And update the width here… I’m going to got for a 64 pixel width. And that’s it! You now have responsive emails templates for your WooCommerce store. That was it. Thanks for watching. If you have any questions write them in the comment area. Bye!
